Out & About Senior Services was created from the belief that every person deserves more than routine care—they deserve warmth, companionship, and meaningful moments in their day. We provide personal, non-medical senior support for Lenexa and surrounding Johnson County communities based on comfort, connection, and presence.
Our companion-based approach focuses on calm, unhurried assistance that meets people where they are — whether at home, out at an appointment, or enjoying an outing.

What We Do — and What We Don’t Do
We provide non-medical senior companion care—practical help, social connection, reassurance, and presence. Our role complements home health or clinical care but does not replace it.
Support may include conversation, outings, check-ins, light meal prep, errands, mobility support, organizing, activities, and appointment companionship.
We do not provide: bathing, hands-on transfers requiring lifting assistance, wound care, medication administration, injections, catheter care, or any nursing/medical tasks. If hands-on care is needed, we refer families to licensed home care agencies.
Our focus is warmth, presence, comfort, and practical support — so seniors feel connected, uplifted, and not alone.

Out & About Senior Services operates as an LLC and carries business liability insurance. We provide non-medical companion support rather than licensed home health or clinical services.
Do you offer transportation?
Yes. Transportation is available as part of a scheduled visit for appointments, errands, or outings. Support is continuous from start to finish — we do not offer drop-off or return-only transportation.
Can you attend medical appointments?
Yes. We provide door-to-door support and can stay with you during the appointment as appropriate. If requested, we can help take notes or help you remember key information afterward. We do not provide medical advice, make medical decisions, or provide clinical care.
How does billing work?
Most services are $40 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Visits are billed based on the scheduled time, and if a visit runs over, any additional time is prorated by the minute. This keeps billing accurate and fair without rounding up to full additional time blocks.
